Description

A classic example of a professional reel-to-reel field recorder that allowed you to capture high-quality and authentic sound on location. In the 1970s and 1980s, it became an indispensable companion for journalists, documentarians, and radio technicians. This compact device with 4-track stereo recording was designed to handle demanding conditions – from bustling city streets to mountain peaks. Its rugged aluminum chassis served as armor, protecting the sensitive electronics inside.
The device featured a built-in speaker, illuminated meters, battery check, and remote control capability – as if you were holding a Swiss army knife among tape recorders. Yet its operation remained remarkably simple. That’s why it found extensive use in the intelligence services of countless countries, including Czechoslovakia. In combination with microphones hidden in briefcases or flowerpots, it could discreetly record entire meetings.
