An enameled plaque featuring the iconic imagery from the logo of the famous British company His Master’s Voice. The origin of this logo is a truly fascinating story. In 1898, English painter Francis Barraud created a painting of a terrier named Nipper, listening to the voice of his late master emanating from an Edison phonograph. The painting was aptly titled His Master’s Voice.
Barraud initially offered the painting to Edison’s company, but it was rejected. Eventually, it was purchased by the Gramophone Company, which replaced the phonograph with a more modern gramophone in the artwork. The image then became the company's logo and later a symbol for RCA Victor and other brands. Today, Nipper remains one of the most famous marketing symbols in the history of the music industry.
