Description

Abel Gody (1876–1947), the man whose name graces this radio, was born in 1876 in Amboise, France. Initially a master watchmaker, Gody's fascination with all things radio began at the age of 25. Inspired by advancements showcased at the World Exposition (which notably included the first presentation of magnetic sound recording), he went on to found the company GODY RADIO.
Gody had a unique approach to production—most of his models were crafted in extremely limited quantities, sometimes only one or two units. This rarity makes any surviving piece in good condition a prized and highly sought-after treasure among radio collectors today.
