Bang & Olufsen introduced the stylish Beocord 1500 cassette recorder in 1979. Designed to complement several Beomaster receiver models, it also offered compatibility with other brands.
The device featured a slanted control panel with a logically arranged layout, two VU meters, and a smooth-sliding sensitivity control for recording level adjustments. A three-digit tape counter with a memory function made it easy to locate specific passages.
Ensuring high-quality recording and playback, the Beocord 1500 incorporated a super permalloy tape head, a stable motor system, and Dolby B noise reduction. It was available in a variety of wooden finishes, including teak, rosewood, oak, and white, making it a sophisticated addition to any audio setup.
